Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 kgs kappa(tapioca)


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 2 cups coconut grated


  • 4 nos small onion


  • 3 nos garlic flakes


  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder


  • 2 tsp coconut oil


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 4 nos green chilli


  • 1/2 kgs for nadan fish curry : fish


  • 1 tsp dhania powder


  • 1/4 tsp methi powder


  • 3 tbsp coconut oil


  • 2 sprig curry leaves


  • 1 inch ginger


  • 5 nos garlic


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 cups water


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 3 nos (.garcinia.) kudampuly (washed)


  • 4 tsp chilli powder

Directions

  • Remove the skin of Tapioca and cut into small pieces.
  • Boil this Tapioca pieces along with turmeric Powder.
  • When it cooks add salt and let it boil for two minutes.Then drain the water and keep aside.
  • In a mixi grind coconut,green chili, onion,garlic,and cumin powder coarsely.
  • Add this to the cooked Tapioca and mix well with a wooden spatula and cook for another two minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add 2tsp coconutoil and curry leaves.
  • Now the tasty kappa puzhukku is ready to serve
  • Preparation of Nadan Fish curry.
  • Step 1. Clean the fish and cut into pieces.(I used Mackeerel Fish for this preparation)
  • Step 2. In a kadai take one tbs of coconut oil and add chilli powder,dhania powder,Methi powder,and Turmeric powder and fryin law flame.Swich of the flame and add water, salt,kudampuli,minced ginger and garlic along with the Fish pieces.
  • Step 3. Swich on the stove and cook this for 10 minutes.(The fish would cooked in law flame.)
  • Step 4. After the fish was cooked switch of the stove and pour 2tbs of coconut oil and curry leaves. This is a tasty side dish of kappa puzhukku.
